scallops stir fry with french beans

The on-going pandemic and the resulting lock down here in our country has made many Filipinos become chefs. There are lots and lots of food photos and recipes shared on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms which will make your mouth water and inspire you to cook and be a chef, too (at least, for your families). I don't aspire to be a chef (my experimental dishes are just hits and misses) but I still love to cook. Here's one recipe I made during the lock down, which I still do from time to time, when I can find scallops in the supermarket. I also love to use French beans because of its crunchiness, even when you overcook it. This is just a simple stir fry dish but I love it! If you try this recipe, I hope you'll love it, too. If you do, share how it goes in the comment box below.

Ingredients

200 grams scallops, pat-dried
100 grams French beans, both ends removed (no need to cut since these beans are usually short in length)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, sliced
1 tbsp olive oil (any cooking oil will do, of course)
salt and pepper, to taste

How to make scallops stir fry with French beans

1. Heat oil in the pan and then stir fry scallops (add in some salt and pepper) for about 3 minutes. Set aside.

2. In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic. Then add in French beans and stir fry for about 5 minutes or until the beans are almost cooked. Put some salt and pepper according to your preference.

3. Add the scallops in the pan and stir fry some more.

That's it, another healthy and simple dish you can easily do at home. Serve with warm rice. Enjoy!
